Revival In NorCal

I spent my Thanksgiving week up in North California. My friends and I drove up to spend Thanksgiving day with one of their families and to receive the invitations to do some ministry. Here's a little bit about what I experienced up north.

One of the first things we did up north was work with a small ministry in Manteca, called Awakening209. The Awakening209 is quite a phenomenal prayer meeting. The meeting is held in a residential home, to which two to three hundred people will attend. It was an amazing sight to see, all these people, from young children to fathers and mothers, crammed into a little house, to wait upon the Lord. The Awakening209 has seen miracles, from physical healings to the mending of hearts. They have stories upon stories of people receiving freedom, from addictions, insecurities, etc. And so many testimonies of people encountering the Lord and receiving the gift of salvation.

While we were there, we were able to encourage its leaders and members. They gave us an opportunity to share some testimonies and a little bit of our heart for California. We, then, moved into a time of prayer. Praying specifically for those who were sick or ill, but praying also for anyone else that felt like they needed prayer. In that night alone, there were multiple physical healing, clear and direct prophecies, freedom and joy released back into the hearts of many.    (Video)

The second ministry opportunity came through a friend of one of our crew. We were invited to pray for a youth group of a church. Our friend carries revival in his heart. He longs to see revivals stirred and reformation come to the education system of America. His main focus is on the high schools and its students.

During the service, our friend shared a message. The message stirred hunger for revival while bringing deep convictions to the young ones' hearts. We were able to pray for them and bring purity and life back into the souls of these high schools students. Later that night, there were many testimonies of kids being set free from addictions, lust, passivity, to having heavenly mind sets restored.

The last ministry opportunity that was made available to our crew was at another church. There, a gathering for young adults was being held and we were invited to speak and share testimonies. The Lord brought, to this group, a calling to a lifestyle of holiness. He dragged out from them, anything that would hold them back from fully embracing the revival culture in their lives. Within the group we spoke to, many were leaders of ministries already blazing, but the Lord still convicted many hearts with a higher calling.

The thing I most took away from this trip was that God is moving everywhere. That revival is not only stirring in SoCal, but in NorCal, and all of California, and all of America. That truly it is a privilege, that truly God doesn't need me to bring revival to America, but that He is gracious enough to allow me. Revival is coming to America, and a new wave is coming. Find yourself on it. If not, you'll be under it.

REVIVAL

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit. - Aristotle.

I truly believe that this is a quote that every person, us Christians included, should live by. We cannot strive to DO something excellent. We must strive to BE excellent.

There are many aspects of this quote I love addressing and relating to the life of a true Christian, but I would like to refer to one aspect in particular. The aspect of REVIVAL.

We are what we repeatedly do. Revival then, is not an act/movement/event, but a habit/lifestyle/heart posture.
I am with a group of revivalist that understand this statement. We make it our conscious intent to carry revival wherever we go. In our daily choices, our walk, our actions, we carry revival.

A trip to Starbucks becomes a time of encouraging the Christian teacher in a secular, religion binding school. A shopping trip becomes a time of signs and wonders, broken limbs, fractures, sores and pains repaired in the name of Jesus. A trip out to dinner becomes a time of ushering in the love of God over an unbeliever, a time of healing wounds of the heart.

This is what Jesus did. Whatever He saw the Father do. We can only do, what we see the Father do.
Revival is not an event, it's a lifestyle.

The Winter Has Passed, Springtime Has Come

This is the word that the Lord has given me for this season. It has definitely been an evident time of winter, but already, I am seeing the harvest of spring coming.

God has already done so such much in this past week. I am asking for wisdom even now as I write this blog. The winter has passed, and springtime has come.

We have been working with a campus ministry on the campus of UCI (University of California, Irvine) called JHOP (Jericho House of Prayer). It is a group of college students and alumni, not very big, contending for revival to break out on their campus. The Lord asked me to release over this ministry, the word of the spiritual shift in seasons. Many others felt the same word coming over the ministry and this particular prayer meeting was filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesies being loosed, and commissioning.

In UCSD (University of California, San Diego), I had the privilege of meeting with leaders of many different campus ministries. I took some time to share the vision I had for universities in California as well at Southern California itself. Then I asked the leaders of these ministries to cast the vision that they received from the Lord, to each other. It was an amazing day of building relationship and vision casting. Realizing now that the visions and goals of these ministries are very similar, it is now a time to step into the practical aspect of unity. No one is certain what this unity will look like, but very firmly, we established that this community had to be centered around the presence of God. That this community had to be for the sake of relationship, never to be for the sake of ministry.

I feel that this word of the Lord is not just a word for these college ministries, but a word for Southern California as a whole. That even for our team, it had been a time of plowing, pioneering, difficulty, but that the Lord is now promising us and all the different ministries, who had been faithful to the word of the Lord, a harvest and a new wave of fiery lovers of God.

Revival In SoCal

There has been so much going on in these past couple of weeks. I do not know where to begin. I'll do my best and start here..

Revival is here.

It was a difficult journey to where we are now. I had started with a group as big as 300 in Southern California, but the Lord called many of them to different places, leaving just about 20 to 30 of us, as pioneers of revival in Orange County. After seeing so many signs and wonders, miracles and salvations with our group of 300, it was a tough transition into a period of stillness, not that we were completely devoid of physical manifestations of His power, but we were just shifting into, in a sense, a period of silence. Once again learning to stay faithful, as He is constantly faithful.

We spent a lot of our time reaching out, trying to make connections with different universities and their ministries. We spent a lot of our time knocking on closed doors. Whenever an opportunity presented itself, our team was faithful to follow through, doing all within our ability to serve any ministry. But we spent a lot of our time in intercession, contending for Southern California, reminding ourselves of the promise that God had spoken over this beloved land.

The Lord is F A I T H F U L .

Currently, there are multiple ministries that have opened their doors to us. We have been invited to speak, teach, participate and serve. We have gained access to many universities in the area, from the Pasadena Art Center down to University of California, San Diego. The Lord has blessed us and we believe that we are walking into a season of favor. As we've entered into this next season, we have already received testimonies of salvations, miracles.

We are witnessing true revival break out. Students taking charge, believers stepping out, the lost receiving amazing grace. Revival is coming to SoCal.

The Current Vision

The vision is to see California set apart for its holiness. The vision is to see an entire nation turn to Jesus. The vision is revival into reformation.

For this season, the Lord has called me back home. He has placed me in Southern California with an amazing group of revivalists. The current word of the Lord is revival. Revival, stirring up in Southern California, the west coast, sweeping to the rest of the nation, to the east.

As we pray and seek direction, the Lord has been strategically speaking to us. He has said that the revival is to begin in the universities of Southern California. That stirring up revival in the students of America would release passion in our country and sweep across the United States like a wildfire in SoCal.

We have been placing ourselves on these university campuses and connecting with many different ministries. Although our passion includes evangelism and outreach, that is not our focus. We believe that we are to serve and support the ministries that are on these campuses already.

I believe that revival in the universities will stir through the unity of the different campus ministries. One of my main focus is to create connections with these ministries and link them to each other. Already, many ministries are working with each other and pursuing unity among themselves.

Signs and wonders are breaking out on these colleges. Miracles and salvations are seen on a day to day basis. Revival is stirring in Southern California.

"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." John 3:8

We hear the Spirit blowing in Southern California. He blows where He wishes, He does as He pleases. Men have no power to direct it. We can only respond to it.
