Kona, Hawaii

Last week, I made a trip out to the YWAM base in Kona, Hawaii. It was a little bit of a homecoming for me, which I rather enjoyed. But as much as it was enjoyable for me, I once again saw the Lord doing a greater work in Hawaii, as with the rest of the world.

The Lord prompted a trip out to Kona on our hearts. We sought the Lord on timing and believing that He spoke, we decided to make the trip during the same days that our leader, Brian Brennt, would be teaching at a Discipleship Training School (DTS). Through Brian, the Lord did a mighty work, stirring up the hearts of students and instilling in them the need to not just love, but carry the culture of revival.

And with this message that Brian gave, we were led by the Lord to gather anyone and everyone who was willing to prioritize their time and seek the Lord. So for five nights straight, we gathered every night from 8:30 until around 1 or 2 in the morning.

It was so simple, so very simple. We gathered with two guitars, two djembes and a handful of people. We worshipped the Lord and prophesied the breakthrough that was coming. Then the Lord moved us into a time of praying for healing. From the first night, we saw a couple dozen healings. First an ankle, then a shoulder, then a back and it just would not stop. After that, we felt the Holy Spirit asking us to ask for a fresh baptism of faith and fire. And so, we did just that. People experienced deeper levels of the Holy Spirit then before. The Lord took us all into deeper levels of faith in the power of the Holy Spirit.

This went on, consecutively, for five nights straight. In a collection of about 8 days, we witnessed at least 50+ healings, a few dozen salvations. Signs, miracles, wonders! It CAN happen in America. It already is.

These meetings are still going on in Kona. The staff and students on base have taken up the responsibility as their own. The organization is primitive, the worship is raw, the message is simple. But that's how we know that the Lord is divinely intervening. It really is that simple. I also believe that these meetings are much more significant than we know.

One of the most important thing that the Lord is showing, as with the trip out to the YWAM base in Harrisburg, it that He truly is raising up the new breed. It is no longer for a search of one or two students who are sold out for revival, but it is now an entire generation calling out to the Father for mercy. It really is the new breed. There really is a new wave rising and an entire generation is on it.

REVIVAL IS HERE. LET'S GO.

East Coast Circuit

Sammy, my ministry leader and partner, and I made a trip out to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We felt a tug in our hearts from the Lord to make a trip to visit the community there and seek out ministry opportunities. Again, I keep writing and rewriting the intro to this blog. Again, there's nothing else, other than the fact that God is moving is ALL of America

The first week in Harrisburg, we connected with the staff and students of a Discipleship Training School, being run out of the YWAM base in Harrisburg. We were able to pour out and be poured into during this first week. The most important thing that we noticed from meeting the students of this new DTS, was that the Lord is truly raising up an entire generation. That this outpouring of His Spirit wouldn't be ushered in by one face or one name, but that an entire generation would bring in the harvest. As I met all of the students individually, I noticed that we were carrying the same message, the same heart. That the a new wave has started off of the coast of America and we were all riding it together. I met many people that I believe will run with me for a longer period of time. Praise Him.

The second week, 10 of us mobilized in a 15 passenger van, packed our bags for the week and started driving. Our first destination was Resting Place House of Prayer in New Jersey. There, we got to minister to the hearts of many and get filled up with the Holy Spirit for the upcoming trip.

We, then, drove down to Virginia to visit Regent University. At Regent, we made contact with a person we would meet for the first time. He blessed us with an open place to minister and called a group of students together. We were able to share our vision, our heart and at Regent, 40-50 students fully surrendered all that they had and said yes to the cost of revival

Similarly, we were able to share at Liberty University in Virginia. We had an audience of a few dozen students, most of whom received prayer from us and truly caught this vision of revival. We had testimonies of healing, radical surrender and restoration at Liberty. We believe that Liberty is key in this coming revival with the influence that the university carries and with its many students.

Lastly, before driving up 10 hours back to Harrisburg, we visited Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. There, a group on the campus gathered for us a group of about 150 to 200 students to worship and hear our message. We, once again, dropped the message that our Father has been developing in our hearts. The message of full surrender and revival culture. From this university, we also had testimonies of healing, experiencing the love of the Father, inner-healing and just the power of the Spirit in so many ways.

The Lord is doing something in this generation. We see this coming revival and, obviously, so does the Lord. He is preparing the nets. He is harvesting the harvesters. So that, when, not if, revival breaks out, we will be ready. We will be capable of leading and discipling the 80 million, He will release. We need to be laid down lovers. We need to be all in.

Revival is here. Let's Go.

Wide Open Doors

I wrote and rewrote multiple introductions to this blog, but they all feel a little off. But it's as simple as the fact that the Lord is good and that He is doing amazing things all over America.

In SoCal, we visited multiple colleges including all of the major universities. What we are finding on this universities is that there is always at least one. At least one of group friends, one club on campus, one ministry nearby or sometimes just one person, on fire, burning for Jesus, sold out for revival. Running with the same zeal and hunger for breakthrough on these campuses. We have connected with these clubs/ministries/friends with plans already to meet, hang out, pray and seek the Lord. At USC, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCR, CBU and others that I can't recall at the moment.

As an example of the open doors; at CBU, Cal Baptist University, we held our first meeting with a group called WAKE. We got together a few days previous and sought the Lord for guidance and direction. The following Tuesday, we spent the afternoon handing out flyers, inviting student to a night of lifting worship to the Lord. We gathered about 150 students and spent 3-4 hours worshiping God. During these 3-4 hours, many students first experienced the love of the Father and many of them fully surrendered their lives to Him. We even saw a brother receive salvation on the spot. At a Baptist University.

We have already been given the opportunity to come and speak into many of these ministries that are on these campuses. To release the message that the Lord is cultivating in this season. The message of the simple gospel, full surrender.

We also made a week-long trip to Northern California. During that week, we had the opportunity to connect with a few of the ministries in the area which were already tapping into revival. As we took part in these ministries, we were able to serve/pray for/speak into the ministry and their leaders. The Lord is releasing the same message all over America. Simple gospel, full surrender.

We were able to serve in a ministry called One Voice, which is a ministry focused on the younger generation. Raising up students at a younger age to carry the message of revival, and fully surrender their lives to the Lord. They held a 12-hour prayer meeting, to End Rebellion & Restore Prayer. The event was powerful, gathering much youth and influence. For 12 hours, they shifted the heavens and petitioned the Lord for an outpouring of His spirit over America. We believed, together, for revival in people's hearts and in our nation. Many of the youth got filled up with the Holy Spirit and exalted the Lord with all they had. Devoting their entire lives to live out the gospel of Jesus.

I am currently on the East Coast, working with YWAM Harrisburg to ride and set up the circuits in the universities on this side of America, just like the West Coast. We will be heading out for a week long trip to 3 different universities to stir the message of revival again. Praise.

The earth is moving, the heavens are shifting. I believe revival is already happening. A new wave is rising.
Simple Gospel. Full Surrender.

2012. Sacrifice, Redemption, Glory

Happy New Year. 2012.

2012, I believe will be one of the most significant years for our generation. We will experience a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit than ever before. People get ready. Jesus is coming.

The year of Sacrifice
I believe, for my self at least, that this year will be one of laying down my rights. I am still in the process of grasping the idea of laying down my entitlements for the Lord, but I see it as a part of the calling on my life. Though this year has only started, the Lord has already been stripping me of my rights. My carnal comforts, my fleshly desires. My right to be recognized, but most importantly, my right to be understood. This is by far the most difficult part of me that I am laying down. But I believe that the Lord has called me to this lifestyle in preparation for all that is to come, not only this season but for my life.

The year of Redemption
For many of us, 2011 was a significant year. The Lord did much in for His children, but also for America as a whole. It was heavy plowing work, difficult pioneering work to till the ground and sow seeds. But  I believe that all that the Lord did in 2011 was in preparation for what He is going to do this year. I am not saying that this year will be easy cruising, or that it is no longer going to be difficult, but that we are primed to see massive fruit and huge harvest even in this next season. God is always faithful to His promises and always faithful to His children.

The year of Glory
We hasten the return of Jesus as we reap the harvest. The Lord has spoken 80 million saved and 200 thousand sent out to oversea missions, many from the university campuses of America. The harvest is ripe and the time is now to see the Lamb receive His glory. I believe the Lord is wanting to pour out His spirit over America, in greater measure than ever before. There is so much to be expectant for this year.

I believe, for myself, it will be one of the most pressing and sacrificial years of my life, but I am willing, daily reminding myself that the Lamb is worthy of all of me. America is on the verge of the greatest move of God this world has yet to see.

People get ready. Jesus is coming.

Revival In NorCal

I spent my Thanksgiving week up in North California. My friends and I drove up to spend Thanksgiving day with one of their families and to receive the invitations to do some ministry. Here's a little bit about what I experienced up north.

One of the first things we did up north was work with a small ministry in Manteca, called Awakening209. The Awakening209 is quite a phenomenal prayer meeting. The meeting is held in a residential home, to which two to three hundred people will attend. It was an amazing sight to see, all these people, from young children to fathers and mothers, crammed into a little house, to wait upon the Lord. The Awakening209 has seen miracles, from physical healings to the mending of hearts. They have stories upon stories of people receiving freedom, from addictions, insecurities, etc. And so many testimonies of people encountering the Lord and receiving the gift of salvation.

While we were there, we were able to encourage its leaders and members. They gave us an opportunity to share some testimonies and a little bit of our heart for California. We, then, moved into a time of prayer. Praying specifically for those who were sick or ill, but praying also for anyone else that felt like they needed prayer. In that night alone, there were multiple physical healing, clear and direct prophecies, freedom and joy released back into the hearts of many.    (Video)

The second ministry opportunity came through a friend of one of our crew. We were invited to pray for a youth group of a church. Our friend carries revival in his heart. He longs to see revivals stirred and reformation come to the education system of America. His main focus is on the high schools and its students.

During the service, our friend shared a message. The message stirred hunger for revival while bringing deep convictions to the young ones' hearts. We were able to pray for them and bring purity and life back into the souls of these high schools students. Later that night, there were many testimonies of kids being set free from addictions, lust, passivity, to having heavenly mind sets restored.

The last ministry opportunity that was made available to our crew was at another church. There, a gathering for young adults was being held and we were invited to speak and share testimonies. The Lord brought, to this group, a calling to a lifestyle of holiness. He dragged out from them, anything that would hold them back from fully embracing the revival culture in their lives. Within the group we spoke to, many were leaders of ministries already blazing, but the Lord still convicted many hearts with a higher calling.

The thing I most took away from this trip was that God is moving everywhere. That revival is not only stirring in SoCal, but in NorCal, and all of California, and all of America. That truly it is a privilege, that truly God doesn't need me to bring revival to America, but that He is gracious enough to allow me. Revival is coming to America, and a new wave is coming. Find yourself on it. If not, you'll be under it.

REVIVAL

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit. - Aristotle.

I truly believe that this is a quote that every person, us Christians included, should live by. We cannot strive to DO something excellent. We must strive to BE excellent.

There are many aspects of this quote I love addressing and relating to the life of a true Christian, but I would like to refer to one aspect in particular. The aspect of REVIVAL.

We are what we repeatedly do. Revival then, is not an act/movement/event, but a habit/lifestyle/heart posture.
I am with a group of revivalist that understand this statement. We make it our conscious intent to carry revival wherever we go. In our daily choices, our walk, our actions, we carry revival.

A trip to Starbucks becomes a time of encouraging the Christian teacher in a secular, religion binding school. A shopping trip becomes a time of signs and wonders, broken limbs, fractures, sores and pains repaired in the name of Jesus. A trip out to dinner becomes a time of ushering in the love of God over an unbeliever, a time of healing wounds of the heart.

This is what Jesus did. Whatever He saw the Father do. We can only do, what we see the Father do.
Revival is not an event, it's a lifestyle.

The Winter Has Passed, Springtime Has Come

This is the word that the Lord has given me for this season. It has definitely been an evident time of winter, but already, I am seeing the harvest of spring coming.

God has already done so such much in this past week. I am asking for wisdom even now as I write this blog. The winter has passed, and springtime has come.

We have been working with a campus ministry on the campus of UCI (University of California, Irvine) called JHOP (Jericho House of Prayer). It is a group of college students and alumni, not very big, contending for revival to break out on their campus. The Lord asked me to release over this ministry, the word of the spiritual shift in seasons. Many others felt the same word coming over the ministry and this particular prayer meeting was filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesies being loosed, and commissioning.

In UCSD (University of California, San Diego), I had the privilege of meeting with leaders of many different campus ministries. I took some time to share the vision I had for universities in California as well at Southern California itself. Then I asked the leaders of these ministries to cast the vision that they received from the Lord, to each other. It was an amazing day of building relationship and vision casting. Realizing now that the visions and goals of these ministries are very similar, it is now a time to step into the practical aspect of unity. No one is certain what this unity will look like, but very firmly, we established that this community had to be centered around the presence of God. That this community had to be for the sake of relationship, never to be for the sake of ministry.

I feel that this word of the Lord is not just a word for these college ministries, but a word for Southern California as a whole. That even for our team, it had been a time of plowing, pioneering, difficulty, but that the Lord is now promising us and all the different ministries, who had been faithful to the word of the Lord, a harvest and a new wave of fiery lovers of God.
