The Winter Has Passed, Springtime Has Come

This is the word that the Lord has given me for this season. It has definitely been an evident time of winter, but already, I am seeing the harvest of spring coming.

God has already done so such much in this past week. I am asking for wisdom even now as I write this blog. The winter has passed, and springtime has come.

We have been working with a campus ministry on the campus of UCI (University of California, Irvine) called JHOP (Jericho House of Prayer). It is a group of college students and alumni, not very big, contending for revival to break out on their campus. The Lord asked me to release over this ministry, the word of the spiritual shift in seasons. Many others felt the same word coming over the ministry and this particular prayer meeting was filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesies being loosed, and commissioning.

In UCSD (University of California, San Diego), I had the privilege of meeting with leaders of many different campus ministries. I took some time to share the vision I had for universities in California as well at Southern California itself. Then I asked the leaders of these ministries to cast the vision that they received from the Lord, to each other. It was an amazing day of building relationship and vision casting. Realizing now that the visions and goals of these ministries are very similar, it is now a time to step into the practical aspect of unity. No one is certain what this unity will look like, but very firmly, we established that this community had to be centered around the presence of God. That this community had to be for the sake of relationship, never to be for the sake of ministry.

I feel that this word of the Lord is not just a word for these college ministries, but a word for Southern California as a whole. That even for our team, it had been a time of plowing, pioneering, difficulty, but that the Lord is now promising us and all the different ministries, who had been faithful to the word of the Lord, a harvest and a new wave of fiery lovers of God.
