I truly believe that this is a quote that every person, us Christians included, should live by. We cannot strive to DO something excellent. We must strive to BE excellent.
There are many aspects of this quote I love addressing and relating to the life of a true Christian, but I would like to refer to one aspect in particular. The aspect of REVIVAL.
We are what we repeatedly do. Revival then, is not an act/movement/event, but a habit/lifestyle/heart posture.
I am with a group of revivalist that understand this statement. We make it our conscious intent to carry revival wherever we go. In our daily choices, our walk, our actions, we carry revival.
A trip to Starbucks becomes a time of encouraging the Christian teacher in a secular, religion binding school. A shopping trip becomes a time of signs and wonders, broken limbs, fractures, sores and pains repaired in the name of Jesus. A trip out to dinner becomes a time of ushering in the love of God over an unbeliever, a time of healing wounds of the heart.
This is what Jesus did. Whatever He saw the Father do. We can only do, what we see the Father do.
Revival is not an event, it's a lifestyle.
